Don Ossey, SIOR - Principal

 

Since 1981, Don Ossey, SIOR has successfully represented buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants in negotiating over 1000 industrial, development and investment transactions with an aggregate total of over $1 billion representing over 40 million square feet.  Don is consistently one of the top brokers in Portland and was awarded the Commercial Brokers Association 2008 and 2013 Industrial Broker of the Year.  In 2013, 2017 and 2021 Don was awarded the prestigious Bill Naito Award for completing the most creative and complex transaction of the year.

 

Don achieved the SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) designation in 1995.  SIOR members are recognized worldwide as leaders in the commercial real estate profession.   Don is very active on a national level within SIOR and is currently on the faculty committee and teaches the designation course in construction and sustainable development all around the country which focuses on ground up construction as well as tenant improvement projects and how to manage both timing and budget on behalf of our clients.  Don was named SIOR global instructor of the year in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019.

 

Don is a loyal Duck fan with a degree from the University of Oregon School of Architecture.  Don has dedicated many years to supporting the University of Oregon.  In 2010 the Ducks honored Don with the Harold Taylor Lifetime Achievement Award.

 

Don is a Portland native and lifelong Oregonian and has been married to Katherine for 35 years.  Together they have raised their daughter Nicole (34) who lives in Camas, WA and their son Stephen (31) who lives in Portland and is a broker on Don’s team at Capacity Commercial Group.   Don is an avid golfer, loves music, travel and great wine!
